Financial Accountant

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of Costing, Budgeting, forecasting, debtors, creditors, analysing financial statements and balancing books to trial balance

Minimum Requirements

• B Comm Degree - Accounting
• Minimum of five years experience
• Advanced computer skills
• Proficient in MS Office and Pastel
• Sound knowledge of GAAP would be an advantage

Job Specification

The main duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate includes:

• Preparation of Monthly financial statements
• Comparison of actual performance with budget and/or forecast, analysis and interpretation of variances
• Ensuring all invoices for the period have been authorised, verified and captured
• Preparation of payment reconciliations of all creditors and ensuring payment terms are met.
• Depreciation/amortisation calculation
• Monitor foreign exchange payments
• Reconcile loan balances
• Reconcile debtors and creditors
• Participate and assist in annual internal and external audits
• Complete and submit all statutory returns
• Capital control and financial transactions concerning mining assets
• Explanation of variances
• Finalise month-end cost and correct misallocations
