Senior Mine Geologist

An excellent opportunity exists for an ambitious Senior Mine Geologist looking to establish or continue a career in the booming Resources and Mining Sector. Reporting to the Geology Superintendent you will be a passionate, driven and dynamic Senior Mine Geologist that enjoys working in a team environment and make a positive difference.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervising the geology team and mentoring graduates 
• Geology input into mine planning & scheduling 
• Production reconciliation systems to monitor the accuracy of resource modelling 
• Effective grade control and stockpile management 
• Resource Delineation ensuring accurate estimation and categorisation of resources 
• Data collection and management of all pertinent geological data 
• Management and administration of the mines drilling contracts 
• Implementing an effective exploration program which investigates alternative geophysical techniques 

The successful candidate will have:

• Degree qualifications in Geology 
• 4 – 7 years in underground base metals 
• Experience using Datamine, Acquire and/or Surpac 
• Excellent communication skills 
• Strong knowledge in safety with good track record 
• The desire to succeed 

This role is offered on a Monday to Friday day shift roster. This is a residential role.
