Senior Surveyor

Looking for a qualified Senior Surveyor to work or relocate to Rustenburg

Minimum Requirements

• Relevant NQF level 5 qualification
• ND, NHD or B-Tech in Mineral Resources Management
• or Chamber of Mines Advanced Valuation and Advanced Survey certificate
• Passed area specific systems training modules for role within the organisation
• 2-4 years experience

• Construct mining layouts.
• Installation of survey lines and grades.
• Calculation and plotting of pegs.
• Representation of survey data on survey system.
• Provision of survey notes including holing warnings where required.
• Perform measurements of excavations for tonnage accounting, representation on plan and contractor payments.
• Receival of customer request and requirements.
• Engagement of customers.
• Facilitate customer request and services.
• Provision of necessary information for optimal ore extraction.
• Resolution of customer queries related to survey information.
• Participate in and conduct regular safety meetings with teams.
• Adhere to safe work procedures and PPE requirements.
• Escalation of unsafe working conditions.
• Conduct safe behavioural observations.
• Participate in ICAM investigations.
• Adhere to good housekeeping standards.
• Maintenance of survey database.
• Extraction of data and information for reporting purposes.
• Ensure integrity of survey data and information.
• Effective utilisation of survey systems.
• Facilitate coaching and development of team members.
• Manage and verify daily bonuses of team members.
