Metallurgist

This gold producer has a large and successful operation based near to Kalgoorlie. Due to an increase in workload they are currently seeking a Metallurgist to solve technical issues and assist in ensuring production targets are met. This is a residential role which will require the successful applicant to live in Kalgoorlie or Kambalda.
 
This position will give you the opportunity to learn and progress your technical knowledge in a professional and highly regarded environment. The day to day responsibilities will include providing technical leadership and mentoring Process Technicians to ensure the achievement of departmental goals. You will analyse existing processes and assist the manager to control costs efficiently whilst exploring continuous improvement initiatives to improve the plant efficiencies. You will monitor plant performance producing regular reports on production, metal accounting, safety hazards and environmental hazards.
 
To be successful in this role you will have a good grasp of gold CIL processing. You will have a strong foundation in metallurgy having worked as a Plant Metallurgist or as an experienced Graduate Metallurgist. This role requires a degree in metallurgy or a related discipline.
