Mine Geologist

Our client is known for their high safety and operations standards within this underground base metals mine. Our client is now recruiting a Mine Geologist; this excellent opportunity to join an owner operated mine in regional NSW. This complex ore body is one of the oldest mines in Australia and will provide a challenging and unique opportunity.
 
As the Mine Geologist, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of day to day mine geology. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist your ongoing professional development will be specialised across planning, implementation and supervision of resource definition drill programs, monitoring stope grades, mapping and resource modeling.  
 
Key duties for this role include compilation of daily, weekly and monthly stope reconciliations, providing high level support to the Senior Mine Geologist along with overseeing resource estimation. You will be a passionate geologist who enjoys having a direct impact on the success on a mining operation and ore recovery.
 
The successful candidate will operate within stringent production and safety standards for the benefit of all employees.  You will bring a Tertiary Qualification in Geology as well as sound working knowledge of the geological demands within underground copper/gold mining.  Strong software skills with Vulcan and Microsoft Office packages are required.
