Longwall Coordinator

A leading mine owner / operator based in Gunnadah region in NSW is looking for a Longwall Coordinator. This is a residential role only and is not FIFO.   
 
They have a high quality portfolio of producing mines and they are currently developing 3 of Australia's most significant new coal projects.  With the latest technology and mining equipment this company really is the place for opportunity. 
 
Responsibilities:
The Longwall Coordinator is accountable for overseeing the safe and cost-efficient production schedule of the Longwall on a day-to-day basis, in compliance with statutory requirements.

Reporting to the Production Superintendent

• Actively participate in the implementation and maintenance of the Health and Safety Management System and Plans, and monitor compliance with statutory requirements by all staff within area of responsibility.
• Conduct regular inspections and implement regular audits of areas of the mine within your responsibility to assess compliance with the Health and Safety Management System, relevant statutes and established housekeeping standards
• Monitor that all necessary records are collated and filed in accordance with company procedures and policy, and statutory requirements.
• Coordinate the day to day running of the Longwall when in operation including service retractions and Longwall moves
• Your formal qualifications must include Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or related disciplines and you must possess Undermanager's  Certificate of Competence
• You will have extensive longwall mining experience and have senior supervisory experience at an underground coal mine
• Relocation package is available and help with rent for first 6 moths initially
