 About the Job
 If you are an exploration geologist looking to work in the areas of copper, nickel and gold then this is the opportunity for you. Musgrave Minerals is recruiting a Senior Exploration Geologist to manage and participate in greenfields and advanced exploration projects throughout Australia.

Musgrave Minerals is a well financed nickel, copper and gold explorer focused on the discovery and development of ore deposits in the Musgrave region of Australia. Musgrave Minerals has an office in Perth and Adelaide and is led by an experienced management team with proven corporate and exploration success.

Reporting to the Exploration Manager, responsibilities include:
  • A leading role in the planning, implementation and supervision of exploration programs on multiple projects.
  • The supervision of and participation in mapping, geochemical, geophysical and drilling programs.
  • Target identification through the interpretation and compilation of results.
  • Project generation through the evaluation of regional datasets and application of conceptual models.
  • The production of technical reports for the company, joint venture partners and government bodies.
Successful candidates will be tertiary qualified in geology and have between 3 and 10 years’ experience with exposure to a broad range of exploration activities. Experience in nickel, copper or gold exploration and drill programs will be highly regarded.

In addition, the candidate will need to have strong people and communication skills along with a solid understanding of budget preparation, project management and reporting procedures. Experience working in indigenous communities and in remote areas will also be viewed favourably.

A competitive remuneration package commensurate with skills and experience will be offered. The successful candidates could be based in either Adelaide or Perth. You must have the right to live and work in this location to apply for these roles.
