HSE Advisor

This massive Pilbara mining project is valued to be in the billions and this ever growing expansion is offering you long term employment working on a contract basis. 


As the HSE Advisor you will be to provide support to the Safety Superintendent through the implementation of the HSE Procedures along with being able to demonstrate leadership and commitment in relation to the implementation of the HSE Management Plan. You must also demonstrate leadership and commitment in relation to the implementation of the HSEC Procedures as well as all other aspects of this role, leading always by their own example.


Other duties will include:
 

• Making inspections as and when required 
• Assist in ensuring that relevant contractors and personnel adhere to the HSE Procedures 
• Coordinate and conduct training courses 
• Conduct the induction of all project workforce and visitors on HSE responsibilities 
• Carry out instructions or directions given by the Registered Manager from time to time to ensure compliance with the projects Safety and Inspection Act 1994 
• Coach project staff in their HSE roles 
• Actively participate in and support Incident and Injury Free culture

If this is of interest to you, you will need to be able to demonstrate the following: 
 

• Hold at least a Cert IV in OH&S 
• A minimum 4 years EPCM experience 
• A minimum 4 years experience working on large scale mining projects in a HSE role 
• Excellent client management and relationship development skills 
• Be able to work in harsh and remote locations
