Junior Mechanical Technologist

Our client, a manufacturer of Equipment used in the Mining Industry, is currently seeking an Entry-Level Mechanical Detailer to join their team in beautiful North Bay, Ontario on a Permanent basis. All interested candidates MUST BE graduates of the Mechanical Engineering Technician or Mechanical Engineering Technology College Program.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and completing the BOM
  • Creating Manuals (Operator's, Parts, and Service)
  • Documenting Shop Changes / Modifications
  • Working with Designer to streamline and convert Solidworks drawings to AutoCAD 2D and Solidworks designs to Inventor Models
  • Convert shop notes, sketches, and finished developments to usable production drawings
  • Document hydraulic and electrical systems and update as required (ladder, system, and harness diagrams, etc.)
Education & Experience
  • Education as a Mechanical Engineering Technologist or Mechanical Technician
  • Co-Op, Internship, or working experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of drafting and experience working with AutoCAD
Assets
  • Knowledge of or experience with Solidworks and/or Inventor 3D
  • Ability to work with Photo Editing Software, MS Excel, and Adobe packages
