Service Writer / Warranty Administrator

SMS Equipment Inc. supplies equipment parts and service to the construction,forestry and mining industries and utility product users. It was created to provide customers with integrated solutions and to expand our service capabilities as anationwide organization.
 
  • Reporting to the Service Manager, the Service Writer/Warranty Administrator will provide administrative support services to the Winnipeg Branch.  Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Maintaining work order log book (open, close, file).
  • Opening/closing work orders and ensuring all items are charged and back orders identified.
  • Inputting warranty related information, i.e. - inspections, campaigns, warranty repair work, etc.
  • Ensuring interrupted warranty is properly processed as per manufacturer's guidelines.
  • Maintaining machine history files and keeping all files up to date.
  • Ensuring the timely and accurate maintenance of claims systems.
  • Reviewing and processing customer and warranty work orders, ensuring all parts are charged out correctly to match work order segments.
Qualifications
Three years proven experience in a service environment.
Working knowledge of warranty policies and procedures.
Excellent word processing and communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills necessary.
