Our client a Multi National engineering and management consultancy are urgently seeking an experienced Geotechnical Design Engineer to assist with management of geotechnical teams to be based in near Leeds. This is an opportunity to work for a market leading organisation who delivers Multi Million pound projects throughout the UK.
It is essential candidates have a minimum of 8 years of post graduate Geotechnical design experience undertaking shallow foundations, piles, slope stability and retaining walls. You must be able to demonstrate your technical competence in delivering projects throughout various sectors including highways, infrastructure and rail and be willing to work further afield.
Candidates will be educated to degree standard in engineering geology, civil engineering or relevant subject with a further MSc/MEng in Geotechnical Engineering or similar and be a member of a recognised professional body (CEng/CGeol). It is expected you have excellent written and spoken English and hold a CSCS card and PTS would be an advantage to your application.
Typical duties will include geotechnical design for new and existing projects, interpretive report writing, slope stability assessments, design and management of site investigations and preparation for bids and project costing.
