Position
Fugro-Jason develops the Jason Geoscience Workbench, a professional high-end tool for geophysical analysis, interpretation and inversion. Our seismic inversion engine offers world class results and is one of the key features of the Workbench. The senior computer geoscientist will work on maintaining and extending the algorithms for seismic inversion and related functionalities. This is a challenging task for which we seek enthusiastic, capable and motivated people.
Position requirements
The candidate has finished a master’s degree or Ph. D. in geophysics, physics, mathematics or a related field and has proven affinity with mathematical algorithms. Good English communication skills are essential. Additionally, we require a complete understanding of all basic geophysical concepts related to reflection seismic data, professional experience with C++ programming, at least two years of experience in a commercial software development environment, a solid background in object oriented programming and familiarity with all aspects of the software development cycle (version control, requirements, testing, etc.).
