Manager Technical Services

Responsibilities

• Manage the activities of the Service Engineering Team to:
• Assist engineering with the development and deployment of new equipment into global markets
• Assist the Field Service and Service organizations with advanced troubleshooting services when needed
• Assist Publications and Training Departments with advice and expertise on information programs and provide service engineers as needed to conduct customer and service training programs Predominant Tasks:
• Promote the sale of technical information, training and service to customers
• Provide advice to sales, marketing and/or customers to clearly identify market needs and aid in proper application of products and services
• Participate with upper management in developing strategic and tactical plans
• Prepare annual department budget for incorporation into the Company’s Formal Profit Plan
• 24/7 availability to make decisions and mobilize direct reports on an moment’s notice Direct reports include: Technical Publications Manager, Technical Training Manager Number of employees under supervision: 10-15

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering, 10+ years of mining industry experience, previous management and heavy equipment maintenance experience and in-depth understanding of [Company] customers
