The main function of the electrical engineering officer is to assist electrical design consultants with the preparation of electrical, instrumentation, communications and fire engineering documents ensuring that client requirements are met. You will also be required to assist the site construction teams with technical support and direction. Apply your diversified knowledge of electrical engineering principals to problems and assist with the preparation or modification of drawings, specifications, calculations as well as monitoring the works for compliance to applicable codes, accepted engineering practices and client standards.
Duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to;
Provide electrical engineering assistance to site supervision teams
Review electrical drawings related to projects as provided by the client
Provide technical direction to designers assigned to specific tasks
Develop scope documentation for E&I installation contracts
Interpret client specifications and drawings and prepare tender packages for project tendering and execution
Liaise with clients, suppliers and project team to raise and resolve technical queries

As an ideal candidate you will have;
6 years experience with technical knowledge in electrical engineering
A combination of experience in a similar industry, construction exposure and continued education
Trade Qualifications
Familiarity with the use of Aconex would be an advantage
Tertiary qualification desirable but not essential
Obtained or working towards electrical contractors licensing
Australian residency or the right to live and work in Australia
