Operations Manager

Department Description

  • [Company] is seeking an Operations Manager for its North America Operations.  This position is based in Bethlehem, PA.

Brief Description

  • The individual will manage the activities of the Operations Department to supply innovative state of the art solutions within the Cement and Minerals Processing Industries.

Detailed Description

  • Manage the department to assure timely, profitable, contract execution and successful commissioning of projects.  Insure that contract obligations are met by[Company] , other contractors and the client.
  • Ensure long term viability of the business by developing plans, metrics and KPI’s related to the department mission for all personnel to follow and refer to. Coordinate the flow of information both into and out of the department to enable all groups to operate effectively.
  • Responsible for development of procedures, growth/recruitment, salary administration and organization of the department.  Also responsible for motivation conduct and appraisal of personnel.
  • Ensure department work is performed in accordance with corporate Quality System policies, procedures, and work instructions.  Achieve the goals, perform special projects, and perform work as directed by the VP of [Company] Division
  • Participate in budgeting and forecasting process and monitor progress to these goals. Develop workload forecasts with an accurate absorption levels.
  • Work with Global [Company] Organization to identify, analyze and recommend products and/or technologies to incrementally grow our capabilities either through internal development, license or by acquisition.
  •  Prepare department resources to provide support to sales group during the preparation of proposals and bid review meetings with customers. Develop, prepare, write and present technical presentations in accordance with this support whether it is to a singular customer or a gathering of several customers.
  • Provide management and executive reporting on monthly basis

Job Requirements

  • Knowledge of [Company]  products and applicable markets.
  • Business knowledge and skills including Engineering, Sales and Administration.
  • Self-motivated, positive, team oriented and results driven
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, able to effectively communicate and interface with all levels of personnel and customers.
  • Must have the equivalent of a four-year technical degree in addition to several years of related experience.
  • Able to execute a variety of management functions efficiently and professionally, within a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must present a professional image representing the company.
  • High level of computer skills are required, use of databases, MS Office products.
