  • Mechanical Engineering Degree

Our client is a global company providing engineering, consulting and project management services to the Oil & Gas and Mining & Metals industry. Their Engineering capabilities including planning, development and delivery of new projects and the optimisation, modification, operation and maintenance of existing facilities within their specialist niche markets.

Due to ongoing work and an increase in demand, they are now seeking Senior Mechanical & Structural Engineers to join their team in the Hunter.  We are seeking Lead Mechanical Engineers that have had 5 years drafting or design experience as well as 3 to 5 years project lead / supervising experience.  The successful candidate will ideally have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Mechanical Engineer Degree
  • 5 years experience within Mining Industry or Heavy Engineering Industry
  • Experience in design engineering and project delivery
  • Drafting Supervision
  • Supervise and Manage Design Dead Lines
  • Develop team cohesion
  • Run design & drafting reviews   
  • Strong Hand Calculation and FEA skills
  • Experience in offshore, oil & gas, process industries, material handling or mining
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Detail to Project Delivery
  • Technical writing and design specification experience
  • 5 Australian experience managing / mentoring draftsman
  • Liaise with clients / suppliers
