Communications Consultant | Mining & Infrastructure | $110k package

With a client base that spans Government, Utilities, Transport, Infrastructure, Water, Mining / Energy and NGOs they are across all major industries and a large portion of the ASX100.
ONe of the main services lines is their Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Practice which includes risk and crisis communications, government relations, media monitoring, media releases, communication planning and audits, social media, stakeholder mapping, interivews, engagement strategy and activist engagement.
Your main responsibility is to provide communications and stakeholder engagement activities to clients across all key markets. Other roles duties include managing and supporting business development and marketing activities, including undertaking research and analysis, producing promotional materials and preparing project scopes and proposals.
You will have / be:
- At least 2 years experience in a communications team (either consulting or industry) with project experience of major infrastructure (mining and resources, transport, water, energy, major civil projects etc)
- Consulting or business development experience in a communications, environmental or sustainable development role gained with a consulting firm, corporation, industry group and/or government organisation.
- Strong Project Management, cost control, time management and organisational skills. This will vary from a $300K job to a multi-million job
- Capacity to conduct qualitative and quantitative research and effectively analyse and interpret complex data.
- Well developed verbal and written communications skills with an ability to work with a diverse range of people.
- Tertiary qualified in a relevant discipline is required.
- This could include fields such as sustainable development, environmental science or engineering, commerce, political science, or communication.
- Desire to change organisations for better sustainability outcomes
A practical and real world understanding of the processes required to facilitate diverse groups of stakeholders.
Key external relationships will include:
- Clients
- Corporations
- Government agencies and departments
- Community Stakeholders (NGOs, local communities, charities, environmental groups)
- Industry Stakeholders and Associations
