Tenders Administrator

Goodline is an experienced construction and maintenance company specialising in serving remote areas of Australia, with offices in Weipa (QLD), Darwin (NT) and Port Hedland (WA). We specialise in steel fabrication, steel erection, demolition, scaffolding, plumbing, electrical, carpentry and civil works. Our client services range from project conception to project management to ongoing maintenance. We pride ourselves on offering tailored and innovative solutions to the mining, construction, maintenance and building industries. 

We currently require a Tenders Administrator for immediate start. This role will be based in our Kawana office however there will be an initial period of 3 months training required to be undertaken at our Port Hedland office.

Applicants must meet the following criteria:
  • An understanding of Contracts, Schedules and Planning
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Sound communication skills
  • Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical, planning and organisational skills
  • Computer literacy
Applicants with the following will be highly regarded:
  • Certificate in Business Administration
  • Certificate in Tendering
The role will entail the following tasks:
  • Maintain and up date the tender list
  • Organise and facilitate the daily tenders meeting
  • Ensure tenders are submitted within designated deadlines and the schedule for tender submissions is kept up to date at all times
  • Assist with the deliverables for all tenders
  • Prepare the tasks for all the tenders
  • Create jobs in the accounting program to record all hours worked on the tender
  • Close any jobs raised if the tender bid is unsuccessful
  • Ensure any costs for the tender are attributed to the job if the tender is successful
  • Set up successful tender jobs with cost codes
  • Hand over all information regarding successful tenders to the Cost Controller
  • Work closely with the lead estimator to ensure their workload is managed
  • Offer assistance and advice to the tender team when required
  • Answer all Request for Quotations and Intention to bids in a timely manner
  • You will be expected to develop and maintain professional relationships with current and potential customers, and seek new work opportunities at all times
