Mechanical Engineer

 Our client is a multi-disciplinary engineering company focused on providing a full range of professional engineering services to its clients.
 
Based in Mississauga, key project scopes include:
Petro-Chemical - terminal loading facilities; pump ugrades, etc
Chemical/Manufacturing Process facilities projects/upgrades, etc.
 
INTERMEDIATE MECHANICAL ENGINEER

Responsibilities
  • Plan, design, and install upgrades and additions to process equipment and piping systems 
  • Review, select and approve mechanical specifications for processing equipment, pressure vessels, piping systems, components, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers and storage tanks 
  • Responsible for the timely completion of projects; use engineering knowledge in the planning and executing of assignments 
  • Work in conjunction with all members within the project/discipline team; collaborate with everyone within the discipline or the project team
  • Ensure all code requirements are met (API & ASME)
  • Support the development of engineering standards and practices
  • Mentor and develop junior and designers
  • Interact with clients and contractors
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationship.
REQUIREMENTS:
  • Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized university
  • 8 - 15 years mechanical engineering experience preferably in large industrial facilities or refineries
  • API and ASME standards experience.
  • Registered or eligible to register as a Professional Engineer in the province of Ontario
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
  • Strong leadership, time management, organizational and communication skills are essential
  • Demonstrable ability to plan, organize and implement activities successfully 
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
