Assistant Credit Manager

Job Description

• United States Steel Corporation has an immediate opening for an Assistant Credit Manager based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position will assist in managing U. S Steel's Accounts Receivable portfolio. The Credit Department manages credit for both domestic and international transactions customers. The Assistant Credit Manager will report to the Credit Manager and the position's responsibilities will include, but may not be limited to:

Job Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the credit worthiness of a large and diverse customer base
• Recommend credit lines within authority of Corporate Policy
• Minimize risk of loss, retain desirable business and control customer/industry exposure
• Maintain customer files/records as prescribed
• Maximize collections and ensure timely cash applications
• Manage 1-3 direct reports consisting of Credit Representatives and/or Credit Associates

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting or Finance.
• 5 years’ experience in extending industrial trade credit and managing employees
• Strong analytical skills and financial background
• Excellent communication skills (written, oral and presentation)

Preferred Requirements:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
