Piping Designer - PDS CAD Administrator (#219052)

This international EPC is currently looking for qualified PDS CAD administrators to join their tight-knit, loyal team. These are permanent roles located in downtown Calgary and will be working on projects for both Husky and CNRL.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Create and maintain the project directory structure on the PDS project
• Manage the PDS project setup and customization according to project specifications
• Create and maintain PDS Back Up / and Retrieval Activities
• Create, customize, and maintain piping components data and related PDS libraries
• Develop and manage PDS/CAD procedures for the project as needed
• Assist with required interfaces with third party software and programs into PDS
• Developing 3D models and creating 2D drawings from the model
• Create, customize, and maintain PDS reports and MTO reports
• Set up and customization of Isogen and Drawing Manager
• Prepare 3D model reviews (3D walk through) for client reviews
• Act as the focal point for all discipline related PDS enhancements and support requirements
• Provide support during drawing production based on engineering sketches, drawings from other disciplines, codes and standards, including location and grading plans, cross sections, pipe support and details, platform, stair and skid details, and typical drawings
• Providing day to day CAD and related technical support to Engineers and Designers
• Providing assistance to Drafting Coordinator in maintaining project records
• Filing and maintaining original drawings, check points, designs and sketches per company procedures
• Assist in project closeout activities as needed in relation to the PDS environment
