This Company controls the iron ore rights to one of the largest tenement portfolios within the Pilbara region, currently developing a significant new iron ore venture.
The development of this substantial greenfield project currently has resource base of 1.2 billion tonnes. Considerable growth potential exists for future stages of development.
With major growth taking place, this company is seeking a Senior Resource Geologist to join this Perth based role in their corporate team.
The Senior Resource Geologist will report to the Exploration Manager and will be responsible for the management of resource inventory. Key responsibilities of the role include: Progress resource estimates; Monitor data quality and review data collection processes; Audit and review of current resources; Maintain a programme of continual improvement; Provide technical support and training to the Exploration team; and Comply with company and statutory OH&S policies and procedures.
To be successful, you will possess the following:
Tertiary qualified in Geology or equivalent.
Minimum of 4 years’ experience in exploration with at least 8 years in resource evaluation.
Iron ore experience is essential.
Supervisory and leadership experience.
Strong commitment to health, safety and the environment.
Ability to communicate effectively.
Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge in resource / exploration software.
