This organisation is within a multi- national group of companies that provides services in many different industries - Mining, Ports and Maritime, tunnelling steel, aluminium and energy. Specialising in designing, manufacturing, supplying and installing an extensive range of products and services. This company delivers power transmission, distribution and control technologies that form the link between fixed and mobile equipment in many industry sectors. 

The Role 

• Based in the Northern New South Wales area and reporting to Chief Engineer this role involves: 
• Providing engineering design advice, for a range of piping and water tank equipment to projects.
• Liaise with the General Manager, Production Manager and the design team.
• Ability to be "hands on".
• Responsible for quality design drawings and products ensuring fabrication and manufacturing processes meet clients and company's strong quality control demands.
• Ability to identify design faults.
• Provide technical solutions.

You 
To be successful in this role you will need: 

• Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent
• Demonstrated ability to interpret, prepare, check and understand detailed drawings
• 10+ years experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
• Fault finding and commissioning
• Ability to work autonomously, multi task and problem solving skills
• Excellent communications skills - written and verbal
• Excellent proficiency of using 3D modelling software - AutoCAD, Solid works, and Inventor
