Our Client is a near-term copper producer focused on developing its major mine and mineral processing asset, with production having commenced in the first half of 2012 and an initial evaluated mine life of 15 years. They are currently seeking to appoint a Resource Geologist.

The Resource Geologist will report directly to the Grade Control Geologists and be primarily responsible for developing and implementing mining geology standards in accordance with DML corporate standards to ensure quality and control in geological activities. Model and analyse the deposit minable reserves and maintain geological data to meet the needs of investors, shareholders and DML senior management.

Duties will be, but not limited to the following:

• Data collection and validation of site geology data 
• Evaluation and incorporation of current pit mapping into the resource model. 
• Develop wireframes from the data collated from the above 
• Undertake relevant statistical and grade estimation analysis for model inputs 
• Working alongside external consultants 
• Skill transfer to the site national geologists 
• Able and willing to undertake duties to cover roster personnel 

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Degree in Geology 
• 6+ years experience Mineral Reserves management. 
• A minimum of 3 years exploration experience is essential 
• Excellent interpersonal, cooperative and facilitations skills as part of interfacing with various levels of management and external bodies of agencies
• Proficient with Surpac
