Materials Handling Permit Coordinator

We urgently need you for an immediate start on one of this year’s major WA based Iron ore projects. This role requires you to work for one the world’s largest EPCM consultancies, giving you the chance to make a major impact on your resume. 
The position will be working on a port infrastructure upgrade consisting of train unloading, ore blending and ship loading facilities, which will located within the port. Since operations began a second berth has been constructed and commissioned and a second stacker installed. The site also has the capacity for huge increases in the amount of stockpiled materials.
The product stockpile configuration and equipment proposed will allow the maximum flexibility in the manner in which ore product is arranged in stock piles and reclaimed. 
 
Duties will include:
 
Issuing of permits to Work and associated documents. 
Coaching individuals to use the permitting and isolation procedures and systems in a safe and efficient manner.
Isolating of equipment and process streams to allow for the safe inspections of equipment and processes.
Create and develop task specific isolation lists.
Perform shutdown audits and safe act observations relating to isolations, permitting and safe work procedures applicable to the maintenance area.
Demonstrate a strong understanding of safety, FPE, supply, GSAP, quality systems and procedures.
 
Other skills required will include:
 
A minimum 5 years recent relevant history in heavy materials handling permitting. 
A minimum 5 years experience as a Permitting Coordinator 
A minimum 5 years experience working on EPCM projects (essential) 
Excellent Communication skills. 
Excellent proven track record working on large scale projects. 
Be able to work in harsh environments. 
Excellent communication skills
