Take the unique opportunity of working with a globally respected EPCM consultancy on a multi-billion dollar Iron Ore Project. Acting as the Operating Clients Representative
Our Client is working as the Project Management Consultancy (PMC) overlooking the main EPC contractor and subcontractors for the $9b dollar development of one of the North Wests highest profile projects.
Based in Perth, the Buyer is responsible for pro-actively managing the procurement of goods and services for our clients project. This role will involve strict adherence to procurement directives and procedures and the Buyer will need to build and enhance vendor and contractor relationships and manage service levels with internal customers.
Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Ensure requisitions conform to contractual and service arrangements and meet proper procurement standards and compliance
Look for opportunities to reduce waste in processes that are transactionally inefficient
Gather market intelligence on materials and services and understand positioning in the market
Monitor and expedite overdue orders for goods and services
Work with engineering, planning, project controls, construction, HSE and quality to ensure specifications of materials and equipment is provided on-time.
To be successful in this role, you will have a:
Minimum of 8-10 years demonstrable and relevant Buying and Procurement experience preferably in the mining industry.
Experience in processing procurement requirements and governance and variations to contracts.
Although tertiary qualifications are not a mandatory requirement, the completion of Supply Chain or Procurement training courses will be highly regarded.
