Three opportunities have arisen to join a large and highly regarded Australian mining company to work on the expansion of a coal mine located in northern Queensland. Whilst the roles are Brisbane based you will be expected to be on site approximately 2-3 days per week. With many years of mining experience you will be focusing on explosive contracts in particular as well as other types of work packages for a duration of 3 to 6 months. All travelling costs to site and back and accommodation will be covered.
Duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Provide total contract support to the project.
Prepare contract documentation.
Assist, develop, recommend and implement sourcing strategies for contracts.
Identify and evaluate suppliers and market analysis.
Preparation and issuing of requests.
Contractual documentation preparation for provision of services, hires and goods requirements
Ensure contract handover to both department and contractor with review of all terms and conditions.
Monitoring and auditing of progress claims and costs.
Work for one of Australias largest independent coal producers and be a part of the expansion of one of its most prominent projects.
Required from the successful candidate are the following:
Relevant qualifications and/or substantial experience in procurement and contracts
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in mining or a heavy industrial background
Excellent communication skills
Highly developed organization skills
Experience from using integrated ERP system (Oracle)
