Senior Mining Engineer

This leading mining contractor in Western Australia has a rare and exciting Perth based opportunity for a Senior Mining Engineer to join their open pit team, in a role which is a fantastic blend of technical, management, strategic and commercial duties. You will play a key role in supporting the teams both on site and in the office.
 
Your main duties will involve providing technical support to the various sites, key input into contract preparation and tender estimation, developing and maintaining relationships with clients and strategic planning and business decision making. You will be involved in a wide range of technical work, covering drill & blast, planning, scheduling, equipment selection and other aspects, making this an exciting and varied role. Add to this the multi-commodity exposure that comes with working for a mining contractor and this is truly a diverse and stimulating position sure to challenge the ambitious Mining Engineer.
 
You are a tertiary qualified Mining Engineer with strong exposure to open pit mining operations and a solid working knowledge of mine planning software. Strong communication, leadership and teamwork skills are essential to this people-focused role, and you will also possess an understanding of mining contractors and their functioning. A natural tendency to commercial awareness and business acumen will see you excel in this multi-faceted and challenging position.
