Short - Term Mine Planning Engineer - QLD

A mid Tier Coal Producer is seeking a Short Term Planning Engineer to step into the Technical Services Department on their open pit coal mines in the Central Qld You will be a mining engineer with 2 years experience looking to move into a short term planning role with a Junior Mining Company that will offer you career growth, stability and support. Joining the Technical Services Department and reporting to the Mine Superintendent you will be trained up on all aspects of short-term to medium-term mine planning activities and will be required to liaison and present plans to the long-term planning team and managers.

Some of your responsibilities will include

• Coordinating all daily short-term to medium-term planning activities for the mine site
• Conducting planning and reports of business and budget statistics
• Performing all daily, weekly and quarterly statistical reports
• Re-forecasting monthly statistical reports against budget
• Partaking in mine project developments as needed

Ideally you will possess:

• Degree in Engineering (Mining or Civil)
• At least 2 years mine planning or production engineering experience
• Ability to communicate plans and facilitate relevant meetings
• Experience with Xpac and Vulcan software will be highly regarded

Salaries will be commensurate with experience and will be in the range of $120k - $140k + benefits. Salaries outside this range will be considered for exceptional candidates.
