Large open cut mining company is seeking to recruit experienced Plant Mechanics/ Diesel Fitter's for works based in the Hunter Valley.
The applicants will need to hold a mechanical trade with experience in open cut mining. Preferably you will have worked on cat gear and possibly Hitachi excavators. Must have experience with fault finding & diagnostic, regular maintenance and servicing. .
Must have a current high risk ticket for dogging or higher such as basic rigging.
Holding a work cover folk lift ticket preferable but not essential. Confined space preferable but not essential, hot work ticket (MDG25) preferable but not essential.
This role will require you to work day shift for up to six weeks but not less than three weeks. You will then be moved to a lifestyle roster which consist of 12 hour shifts over a Monday to Friday week as per below example.
Example one, commencing on a Sunday day shift will require you to work Sunday, Monday & Tuesday day shift 12 hours. Followed by 5 days off, then Monday & Tuesday Day shift 12 hours Wednesday Thursday Night shift 12 hours followed by 5 days off, then Wednesday to Friday Day Shift off 2 days then repeat.
You are able to accept any additional over time on any days off. This roster will not require you to work weekend or public hoildays unless you ellect too.
