Quality Advisor

This is your opportunity to work for a results-focused consultancy that provides EPCM services to the mining, minerals and energy resource sectors. Their clients include some of the largest resource companies in the world, so you can be assured there will be no shortage of interesting and challenging project work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain the project’s approach to delivery through translation of the groups certified Quality Management System in association with the project’s Scope of Work and any specific client requirements. Where additional documents are identified as required, liaise with the BU Quality Manager to acquire agreement of approach.
  • Plan and undertake project and supplier compliance audits and where applicable, ensure non-conformances along with corrective/preventative actions are documented, communicated, tracked and closed-out in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with Business Unit Quality Manager in respect of participation in 2nd and 3rd party compliance audits and any corrective actions are closed-out in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that project quality performance indicators are identified and reported.
  • Attend regular project and functional team meetings and actively contribute to improving outcomes.
  • Prepare and submit periodic reports to the Project Manager and BU Quality Manager or GM reflecting quality performance of the project.
  • Develop or participate in the development of project documentation.
  • Participate in review and provision of recommendations in respect of project documents including deliverables.
  • Interfaces with project team and liaises with suppliers to ensure quality of goods and services provided and that appropriate quality records are identified and collated.
  • Participate in Project risk assessments.
The following experience/skills are required for this position
  • Relevant qualifications (Technical/Engineering/Business)
  • Formal training in Quality Assurance, business improvement, continuous improvement methodologies with experience in a Project Quality role.
  • Approved auditing qualification and experience in facilitating and conducting audits.
  • Detailed knowledge of Quality Management standard AS/NZS ISO 9001.
