Extrude Hone is a manufacturer of equipment for polishing, and producing controlled radii.  Our Technologies, Abrasive Flow Machining and Thermal Energy Method,  are available to our customers for improving the strength, performance, and overall reliability of the components they produce serving the Aerospace, Medical, Die/Mold and Transportation markets.

Tasks

• Design safe, efficient and cost-effective electrical control systems for high performance metal finishing and orifice calibration systems.  Working in a team environment, assume responsibility for all phases of electrical hardware and software design, development and debug.
• Using AutoCAD and SAP, engineer electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems for capital machine projects.  Includes responsibility for developing and maintaining formal engineering documentation.
• Design and program PLC and PC-based control systems for capital machinery.  Support ongoing efforts to optimize and standardize machine control software.
• Design and program HMI applications for machine control.
• Provide field support for equipment installation, startup and ongoing maintenance; support will include occasional domestic and international travel as well as occasional after hours phone/email support for overseas customers.
• Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, presentations, training and other written and verbal communications.
• Develop cost estimates for electrical projects; track performance against estimates and provide regular reports to management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with 5 years hands-on experience in the design and development of automated production equipment
• Expertise with Allen-Bradley and Siemens automation hardware and software
• Working knowledge of electrical hardware, hydraulics and pneumatics
• Working knowledge of electrical and machinery safety standards and codes
• Experience with robotics, machine vision and industrial networking are preferred
