Position Description

• Located 125 miles southwest of Houston, [Company] Point Comfort Operations supplies alumina -- the compound from which aluminum is made -- to [Company]  global production system -- the largest network of refineries and smelters in the world. [Company] Point Comfort Operations has been a member of the Calhoun County Community since 1948 when it constructed the first aluminum production facility powered by natural gas. • The primary function of this position is to provide technical leadership and support for plant operations. This is a critical position for the operation of the refinery. Expertise is required to ensure quick resolution for problems. This position will also provide coaching for less experienced engineers with operational support/problem solving, technical project management, and modeling.
• Position may be filled as a JG 17 or JG 18 depending upon qualifications and experience

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering or its equivalent.
• 10 - 12 years’ experience minimum in an industrial environment, preferably in the Alumina or Extracted Metallurgy Industries
• Minimum of 3 years in a senior Engineering and/or Leadership role

Preferred Qualifications

• Alumina Refinery or Extracted Metallurgy Industry experience is highly desirable
