Electrical Engineer

Responsibilities:
  • Design and layout of electrical systems and installations for Small Hydro Power Plants.
  • Execute base and detailed electrical engineering for low, medium, and high voltage AC distribution systems including distribution equipment, cables, transformers, circuit breakers, disconnects, and Grid connections.
  • Support site installation, commissioning, and testing.
  • Prepare technical documentation including drawings and operation maintenance manuals.
  • Support supply management with sourcing strategies.
  • Support cost calculation and tendering processes.
  • Occasional travel required.
Qualifications:
  • 5 to 8 years of experience
  • P.Eng
  • Master Electrician license
  • Strong computer skills
  • Experience with Small Hydro Power Plants within Canada.
  • Construction and engineering experience in a turnkey project environment
  • Experience in designing, drafting, specifying, and evaluating AC electrical power distribution systems.
  • Highly proactive, self-managed, and results driven
  • Practical knowledge of project business, case preparations, and construction management.
