The Role
You will be responsible for providing engineering design advice, for a range of projects. You will be responsible for checking design drawings and products ensuring fabrication and manufacturing processes meet clients and company's strong quality control demands. 

You will think outside the square and have the ability to identify design faults and have the experience to provide technical solutions before they become issues. To be successful in this leading role, you will have strong experience in heavy equipment manufacturing and have experaince managing design staff.

It is imperative that you have strong communication skills coupled with the ability to build relationships. You are highly motivated, a team player and have the ability to mentor others even during difficult situations. 

To be successful you will have:

• Mechanical engineering degree 
• Proven experience managing a design team 
• Experience in the design/manufacturing of capital equipment/heavy equipment and mining sectors
• Ability to deliver high level of technical advice and solutions from concept to manufacturing
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Ability to design and develop ideas using Solidworks 2011
• Ability to project and time manage
• Ability to problem solve and be assertive
