The Company 
With a strong reputation across the electrical industry, this multinational company is renowned for quality, reliability, affordability on their excellent range of Protection and Control products and services. This manufacturer has an enviable market share within key heavy industrial, mining and utilities sectors across Australia and the USA and is experiencing rapid organic growth as these markets continue to accelerate and are now seeking to employ an Intermediate Protection Engineer. 

As the manufacturer of these products this company will mentor and train the Protection Engineer into an expert on their range of products. 

The Role 
Due to planned expansion an opportunity has become available for an Intermediate Protection Engineer to join their team based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Perth.

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Design calculations, specifications and settings for the broad range of protection and control products.
• Act as a technical design and functionality expert for current and future clients and to assist with technical queries across Australia.
• Assist the sales team as a technical expert during tender negotiations, delivering information to the Client relating to protection products for upcoming projects.

You 
The successful candidate will be provided with the specific product training, autonomy, a generous bonus system, and benefits that include health and paid study.

To be successful in this role you will need:

• A Electrical Engineering degree with extensive experience in Protection and Control Engineering.
• Technical knowledge of Electrical Protection and related Control products - design, installation, testing and commissioning.
• HV Substation design, construction, testing, commissioning and electrification is also highly regarded but not essential.
• Knowledge of ABB, Schneider, SEL, Alstom or Siemens Protection products is an advantage and highly regarded.
• Exceptional Communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions with Clients.
