Our client is currently experiencing growth and subsequently requires a Lead Mechanical Engineer to join their growing team in Brisbane. You will be given the opportunity to work on some of the largest projects currently being undertaken in Queensland, both greenfield and brownfield.
The role in a nutshell:
Lead and coordinate a team of engineers to produce project specifics within budget and time lines
Cost effectively manage engineering resources
Monitor project performance
Assist with the development of group strategy plans
Ensure best engineering practices are upheld and encouraged in every day work life
Skills and Experience:
Ideally you will have 10+ years experience within the design stages across coal and ports projects
Eligibility for membership to the Institution of Engineers, Australia and CPEng status
A strategic, yet hands-on diplomatic leader with sound communication and people management skills
Demonstrated commercial acumen
Customer focus and business analysis skills
Good computer skills, eg Microsoft products, modelling packages, project management packages and business reporting packages.
