Mine/Resource Geologist

Are you a Mine Geologist that wants resource experience or even just a more varied role? This role is a mix of resource, production & project geology. Report to an experienced Senior who is known for his mentorship skills. This is a residential role in a large town. All level of schooling available – 2.5 hours from the coast. With the downturn of the coal market residential roles are getting fewer - Be home with your family every night. 

Mine/ Resource Geologist
  • Providing general field data related errors to Project geologist for correction
  • Investigation and interpretation of geological hazards for Life of Mine
  • Provide data quality feedback to Project geologist
  • Provide depth confirmation to Project geologist for sample correction
  • Load coal quality monthly
  • Update Model to reflect borehole status
  • Database validation
  • Resource modelling and interpretation
  • Assist Senior Resource geologist
  • Peer review exploration programs with Project geologist
  • Review geological data and make recommendations
  • Identify and document any issues/errors in the modelling data and report to the Mining Engineers
  • Mentor Project Geologists in exploration planning. Review and interpret coal quality data
  • Project work as required
  • Generate monthly operations model
