Senior Lead Plant Layout Designer

We are currently seeking a high caliber Senior Lead Plant Layout Designer for a contract to permanent opportunity. Based in Vancouver, you will be working for one of the world's leading engineering, procurement and construction companies in the Mining and Metals Sector.
 
To be considered for this role, you should be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Extensive (15-20yrs) experience in Mining & Metals Projects, both in front-end 'dry' Materials Handling areas, primary Crushing to Grinding and especially in the back end 'wet' piping areas, Grinding to Refinery, all from Pre Feasibility Study to Detail Engineering.
  • Extensive plant layout design and supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Plant Design, Site Layout, Plant Layout and Piping - Ability to create quick conceptual sketches of entire processing facilities for study work and follow through to detailing platework for Fabrication.
  • Experience functioning as a Project Lead.
  • Fluent in 2D MicroStation.
  • Preferably fluent in 3D PDS Modeling and/or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication skills.
