Process/Specialty Engineer III
To be Considered Candidates:
- Must be authorized to work in the country where the position is located.
Functions include:
- Understands and follows process design basis.
- Understands and applies standards and procedures.
- Assists with process studies under direction of Process Lead.
- Develops Heat & Material Balance for systems.
- Provides process data for material selection templates.
- Performs equipment sizing and calculations for equipment. Initiates equipment datasheets and prepare equipment list.
- Assists in preparation of initial P & ID’s for systems and participates in P & ID review.
- Performs calculations as assigned by Lead.
- Assists in development and depiction of controls on P & IDs for specific systems.
- Inputs process data on line list including design and upset conditions.
- Checks vendor data against process data for equipment.
- Prepares sections of the operating manual as directed by Lead.
- Assists start-up specialist (field engineer). Punches out systems.
- Demonstrates sufficient computer literacy to perform assigned tasks. Demonstrates initiative in maintaining and expanding computer skills.
- Compiles emission summary as directed by lead.
- Performs relief device calculations.
Basic Job Requirements
- University degree in Chemical Engineering.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience (since obtaining a Bachelor degree or equivalent) in the Engineering and Construction, Petroleum or Chemical/Petrochemical industries, 5-8 years preferred.
- Understanding of Chemical Engineering principles.
- Demonstrated ability to apply Chemical Engineering principles to the work process with administrative direction.
- Ability to provide working supervision and proven commitment to coaching and training of coworkers and subordinates.
- Demonstrated commitment to continued learning and education through participation in internal and/or external training opportunities.
