Environmental/IAQ/Industrial Hygiene Specialist

Responsibilities:

• Indoor air quality [mold and other contaminants]
• Remediation
• Construction
• HVAC
• Instrumentation [conductivity meter, IAQ measurements, IR camera, air sampling for VOC’s]
• Estimating software [i.e. Xactimate]
• Asbestos and lead

When hired for this position you will be involved with environmental remediation monitoring and oversight, air sample collection and analysis, and construction phase/forensic services and evaluations. This is a field-based position.

Daily communication is required with site contractors, other technicians and project managers. Provided training: [Company] will train candidates in our methods of performing observations, inspections, testing, and to document findings in accordance with accepted engineering practice; but you should have prior experience with IAQ/IH related work and monitoring. As experience increases, [Company] will encourage and aid technicians in increasing level of competence and skills through internal training programs and external programs of certification.

Local candidates are strongly preferred.

Qualifications:

• Qualified candidates will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
• College graduates with a degree related to IH/IAQ strongly preferred.
• 5+ years related experience required.
• NIOSH 582 Equivalency Certification desired.
• Asbestos monitoring experience preferred.
• Proficiency with estimating software [i.e. Xactimate] required.
• Solid communication skills (both written and verbal).

Note: ECS does not supply vehicles; therefore you must be able to provide a vehicle suitable for use on construction sites. We will compensate you @ $0.55/mile for use of your vehicle for work related activities.
