Construction Materials Testing Project Manager

Responsibilities:

  • In this position you will be involved with project management of construction materials testing projects, including testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, structural steel, fireproofing and asphalt pavement. Additional responsibilities include application of technical support to field technicians, daily review of field reports, monitoring project process, performance and budgetary conditions, assisting with marketing to new and existing clients, proposal preparation, business development, as well as attending project site meetings and assisting with the resolution of both technical and administrative issues. You will be involved with client/business development, and should have an interest and some experience in marketing. As low barriers are maintained between departments, geotechnical engineering experience is a plus.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this position you should have:

  • Minimum of a BSCE or BS Geology highly desired.
  • 2-4 years of CMT experience.
  • EIT highly desired.
  • 4-5 years of experience as a technician/senior technician may be considered in lieu of an engineering degree.
  • Proficiency in oral and written communications.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Experience managing construction materials testing projects, and a solid understanding of soil mechanics and evaluation techniques.
