Environmental Scientist

Responsibilities:

• [Company] seeks an environmental scientist to work on a variety of projects in its new Tampa, FL office. Work is anticipated to include: environmental site assessments [Phase I/II studies], industrial hygiene studies [asbestos-containing materials, lead-based paint and mold surveys and remediation], UST related activities , natural resource service areas such as wetland delineations, groundwater and soil investigations, geologic and risk assessments, hydrogeologic studies, and remediation system design. You will conduct field studies, prepare reports, interface with clients and handle related office duties. You will also be involved with client maintenance and business development, proposals and presentations.
• Note: This is NOT an entry level position. At least two years of relevant experience is required to be considered.

Qualifications:

• 2-4 years of Environmental Engineering, Geology or related experience required.
• BS in geology, engineering or environmental science required.
• Knowledge of State [FL] and local environmental regulations required.
• Knowledge of Florida LUST regulations is required.
• NIOSH 582 and 40-hour Hazwoper desired.
• Solid written and oral communication skills.
• Interest in marketing and business development.

We will compensate you at $0.55/mile for use of your own vehicle for work related activities.
