This ASX listed organisation is considered to be a progressive and growing mining & minerals producer. With multiple operations in production and with additional expansion projects now being executed, this business is set to continue its organisational growth and expansion. Priding itself on a collaborative working environment and friendly culture, this company now requires a Mining Engineer for a 3-6 month contract (with possibility for extension) to help facilitate an operations growth and its staff's development.

Job Description
Reporting to the Mining Manager, the Mining Engineer will be responsible for:

• Short, medium and long term mine planning activities
• Preparing drill & blast designs and schedules
• Analysing and improving mining methods where possible to maximise ore recovery
• Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and ensuring they receive proper development

The Successful Applicant
To be successful in this Mining Engineer role, you will ideally possess:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering
• A minimum of 3 years experience in a Mining Engineering capacity
• Significant experience in an open pit hard rock mining environment
• A strong understanding of Australian mining standards and software packages
