Job Description
As Electrical Maintenance Consultant, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of a high end asset management service to a high profile mining and minerals firm. With the greenfield project coming through the final stages of construction and commissioning, you main tasks will be to deliver the following; Asset register and equipment criticality matrix FMEA and RCM studies. Maintenance work management instructions and plan. Data migration into CMMS package Spare parts catalogue. Validation of vendor operations and maintenance manuals. Asset life cycle costing and reliability availability maintainability modeling (RAM).

The Successful Applicant
To be considered for this role, it is vital that you meet the following criteria;
  • You will possess a Degree qualification in electrical engineering.
  • An additional post graduate Diploma in reliability engineering or asset management will be advantageous.
  • You will have a minimum of 5 years experience within a electrical engineering role either within a mining owner / operator, or consulting firm with a track record in driving tactical and strategic maintenance activities across mining electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
  • Additional exposure to high voltage (HV) distribution networks will be highly regarded.
  • You will have a high level of acumen with various IT applications such as MS Access, Powerpoint and MS Excel.
  • Additional knowledge of various CMMS packages (ideally SAP) will prove to be a distinct advantage.
  • As a Consultant, you will also be expected to possess the interpersonal and communication skills required to work within multi disciplined team, but also to have the ability to interface with clientèle.
