Environmental Engineer 1

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform technical project management on environmental engineering projects in the Puget Sound area.  Manage large upland and sediment remediation projects by developing project plans that meet client and regulatory objectives and managing project costs and schedules.  Perform feasibility studies for environmental cleanup actions, including volume estimation for contaminated materials and groundwater data analysis to determine preferential flow pathways for groundwater, contaminant concentrations, contaminant plum size and shape.  Prepare technical reports on whole-site assessments and cleanup actions, as well as project proposals and bids.  Manage existing environmental engineering clients and projects and participate in the development of new clients and markets.  Duties will require local travel (within normal commuting distance) 20% of the time.

Position Requirements:

• Applicants must have a Master’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and 3 years’ experience as an Environmental Engineer. Experience must include:
• 3 years performing RI/FS (remedial investigations and feasibility studies) for environmental engineering projects.
• 3 years monitoring environmental engineering projects to assess field conditions and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• All education, training and experience may be gained concurrently. Applicants must have legal authority to work in the United States.
