Long Term Planning Engineer

Our client, an intermediate gold producer with a complementary portfolio of global assets in the United States, Mexico, Australia, Canada and Chile, seeks to appoint a Long Term Planning Engineer to join their team.

The objective is to determine the future direction of the mine by strategizing the planning and design of the underground and surface mining in conjunction with the management team.

Duties will include, but not limited to:
  • Responsible for Strategic Mine Plan (SMP) designs , incorporating:
  • Mine development
  • Services infrastructure, including vent, pumping, services reticulation
  • Assistance in creating budget and life of mine schedules including reserves;
  • Assistance in Quarterly Reforecast activity
  • Assistance with project evaluation;
  • Provision of mentoring and development within the technical services team;
To be considered for this role you will have:
  • Bachelor of Engineering – Mining or equivalent
  • 3+ years experience as Ventilation, Production & Short Term Planning Engineer
  • Experience in mine planning and preparation of reserves in underground mining
  • Good interpersonal skills, leadership skills and a business focus
  • Proficient in the utilization of Microsoft Office software including Outlook, Work, Excel and Access
