Our client is a large diversified engineering services group based in Perth they design and deliver mine, rail and port projects for the resources and infrastructure sectors both in Australia and select international markets.
They are moving into the next phase of their EPCM expansion projects and currently have the opportunity for a Senior Cost Engineer who is able to develop, implement and maintain cost control services relating to the change process associated with introducing automated trains to the stockyards.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
Analyse and review home office engineering budgets and staff plans by working with the project teams
Set-up, update and maintain CMS cost database
Take part in forecasting of all project costs
Analyse all information prepared and take action if required. Highlight any problem areas to the lead cost engineer
Tracking and analysing costing reviews
Providing support to junior team members to maintain costing databases

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
7 years experience in the Mining sector as a Cost Controller
Previous experience on site would be viewed favourably
A successful track record of accurately recording, analysing, interpreting and forecasting cost data for large projects
Excellent organisational and communication skills
Experience with EPCM is highly desirable
