Position Summary
- [Company] , a leader in materials management and one of the nation's largest full-line industrial distributors, is searching for a Director - Human Resources for our Canonsburg, PA Headquarters. The Director - Human Resources is responsible for managing the Human Resource function throughout Fairmont Supply Company. The incumbent of this position will implement and monitor company policies, procedures, benefit plans and labor contracts to ensure fair and equitable treatment of employees in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.

Target Responsibilities
The Duties for this position, include, but are not limited to:
- Provide advice and counsel to management and employees within function areas.
- Direct and administer compensation program to ensure internal equity and external competitiveness.
- Responsible for identification, recruitment, hiring, training, development of employees to meet the needs of the company.
- Direct and administer benefit plans for employees to include qualified and non-qualified plans and disability programs.
- Review circumstances that require administration of disciplinary action and recommend appropriate corrective action.
- Direct and administer payroll activities for hourly non-represented, salary, and hourly represented employees.
- Monitor company's overall compliance with federal and state laws. Investigate complaints and serve as liaison with federal and state agencies.
- Serve as a member of the company's negotiating team during contract negotiations with the Teamsters union.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
- The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field, and have a minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience. He/she must have a strong understanding and demonstrated knowledge of salary administration, benefits, training, performance management, employee relations, and Affirmative Action and EEO programs.
- This position requires thorough knowledge of employment law and labor relations. The ideal candidate will possess contract negotiation and arbitration experience. He/she must possess effective verbal and written communication skills to influence, persuade, negotiate, and resolve conflicts.
