Electrical Engineer - Mining

• $150k + based on suitable mining experience/Newcastle region
• 5 plus years experience within a High voltage mining environment
• Electrical Project Management Experience - highly regarded

An exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team of professionals who make up the fabric of this leading base metals mining and exploration company. The regional setting is a thriving mining, rural town with an abundance of opportunity. 

Due to an increase in project work the opportunity has arisen for an electrical engineer with mining and HV experience to join the electrical project team. 

The responsibilities include: 

• Lead and Manage Electrical projects across two mining sites
• Lead and Manage the 50 Hz conversion and project site upgrades
• Liaison with external project stakeholders
• Report review and corrective action plan completion
• Design and implementation of systemic equipment monitoring systems for business critical assets
• Ensure compliance with the Mine Safety and OHS protocols

About you: 

• Electrical Engineering qualifications (recognised by Engineers Australia s)
• 5+ years experience within underground and/or process plant experience
• Coal experience highly regarded
• Exposure to high voltage networks and Electrical Protection Systems
• Capable of working at heights and confined spaces
• Comfortable dealing with varied Electrical Infrastructure Projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
